We finally made it to @karting.genk for the first time!! We got to grips with the track through testing and found some solid pace. We qualified P4 in group in our own air, after arriving at the front of the pack for our flying lap was testament to the pace we had, although a tow would have seen us finish higher as we missed overall pole by just over a tenth of a second!

Our focus this weekend was very much on getting through lap 1 without incident, and the heats provided opportunity to start both on the inside and outside, and our direct approach and full use of the track saw us emerge well on each occasion. We lacked a little race pace however, especially early on so were only able to retain position rather than attack the front as we would have liked.

Some overnight tweaks saw our early pace improved, and in the Prefinal we moved ourselves up to P2 with an audacious double overtake mid-race, eventually taking P4 at the flag.

We arrived at the final feeling confident in our pace and setup, but were unfortunately hit from behind on lap one, spinning us onto the grass. We managed to rejoin, but 16 seconds behind our closest competitor. We retained our focus, driving hard, often outpacing the front but it was all to no avail, eventually crossing the line last having closed the gap 11 seconds to a 5 second deficit across the 10 laps - pace that would have put us in the race for sure!
