WEEKEND CLASSIFICATION: P1/23 🏆

We found great pace during practice at this technical circuit—a new track for us, but one we thoroughly enjoyed.
Saturday began with a challenging qualifying session as the heavens opened. On a drying track, we all opted for slick tires; however, with conditions improving rapidly, lap times dropped by 12 seconds over the five-minute session. We were the first to cross the line, just missing out on the extra lap which would have likely seen our time improve. Consequently, we were a little disappointed to settle for P6.
With the introduction of a qualifying heat for this round and progressive grids, our full focus was on moving forward. We did exactly that, securing P2 in the heat and P1 in the pre-final. In the latter, Austin and I broke away from the pack, crossing the line just two-tenths apart but a massive six seconds clear of the field. The final was a hard-fought battle that didn't quite go our way; we finished P2, leaving us hungry for more on Sunday.
Sunday brought better weather and a clinical performance. We secured pole position in qualifying, finishing just 1/100th of a second ahead of Austin. A strong start in the qualifying heat allowed us to build a gap and finish three seconds clear of the chasing pack, setting the fastest lap along the way. The pre-final followed a similar pattern; despite some early pressure, I remained calm, eventually pulling a gap to finish two seconds clear.
The final was a different story. While I led early on, a train of four drivers kept me honest. A pass from Austin with three laps to go ignited a fantastic battle, and I retook the lead a lap later. After some hard defending over the final two laps, I crossed the line with a narrow winning margin. This completed our second "Sunday Sweep" of the BNL season and crowned us the overall round winners.
It was fantastic to be joined on the podium by my teammate Reian, making it a KR-Sport 1-2, alongside a brilliant win for Arthur in the Rookie category.
We leave Mariembourg as the Championship leaders and are looking forward to Round 3 at Genk, Belgium, in a few weeks.
Huge thanks to the team and everyone for the incredible support!
